Gonigiri

 

Gonigiri was created with the desire to introduce Japanese onigiri to Denver, CO. The company was co-founded in 2021 by myself and a dear friend, Tony. The onigiri were made fresh and delivered on certain days to Pacific Mercantile Company (from January to June 2022).

The packaging was meant to introduce easy-to-open onigiri to the Denver market, with friendliness and approachability at the forefront of the design choices.

The recipes and flavors were also tested, customized, and standardized, using high quality ingredients and putting freshness at the forefront.

 

At my time at Gonigiri, I was involved with and responsible for the operational aspects of the company.

These efforts included:

  • packaging material and design decisions

  • marketing efforts including asset creation

  • photography and social media content creation. Instagram here

  • production in the kitchen, recipe production
