I am interested in uncovering the commonality of our experiences, and allowing ourselves access to what it is that is shared. To that end, I explore (1) the multitude of stories that emerge as it relates to the separate self, identity, and duality; (2) impartial observation and the resting into nondual awareness; and (3) the creating, reframing, and releasing of their expression in various artistic media.
YUTA OKKOTSU, PHD is a Denver-based software developer, artist, product developer, graphic designer, a formally trained basic science researcher, and a registered patent agent. His technical background provides him a biased, and defined approach to learn, and further unlearn, the models of what constitutes our “reality”. He primarily works in digital media, software, watercolor, acrylic, photography. He creates works that touches upon his multidisciplinary training, Japanese background and culture, and his curiosity into the nature of reality.
